- Comments:
One of the highlights of our summer, last year this tournament was
a blast. 3 days of perfect weather and great teams coming from 10+
states. Last year showcased several nationally ranked teams including
3 PONY national champions. Bring your “A” game, cause
your sure to meet up with some heavy hitters over the holiday weekend.
Already nearly full, this is a great tournament to get your team ready
for nationals. Don’t miss some great local fireworks displays,
particularly along the river in Harrisburg. Game MVP’s and the
best trophies. Same format as Memorial Day, with the 8 games minimum!
24-40 teams in most age groups. Get in early as it goes fast. Local
hotels, forests, parks, and entertainment (Hersheypark) makes for
a great extended family vacation.

A lot to organize, but seeing so many great teams from all over the
East Coast make it worth it. Last year we had 3 PONY National Champs
in attendance (Xplosion, Muddogs, Rebelz). We took about 170 girls
for the college showcase and had 27 schools attend. Nearly all the
schools stayed for the tournament, an added bonus. The camp helps
bolster an already strong tournament. A showcase following a traditional
tournament format, teams will enjoy 8 games minimum. The Showcase
Camp will be on Friday, June 30th and is limited to 16 and 18&U
players with teams that are participating in the tournament.. Players
can register on the showcase
website. We’ve also provided a list of college coaches that
have been invited, and contacts for those coaches. We encourage players
to invite schools they are interested in. Players in the showcase
have a profile sheet made and inserted in the college recruiting book
given to the college coaches. They receive a showcase shirt with their
showcase number, and there will also be an informational session on
the recruiting process. All are encouraged to attend. Pre-registration
is necessary. Due to a limited # of spots, players on teams not in
the tournament will not be able to participate. For the showcase tournament,
last year we accepted 76 teams. Be sure to get in early or you will
be left out. Our stiffest competition of the year, teams come from
10+ states and Canada for the holiday weekend tourny that you surely
won't want to miss out on. For 2006 we will be using a slightly different
format in the past due to the extended holiday weekend. Teams will
play 2 games of pool Saturday as we will be starting late (around
noon). Then, teams will play 5 games of pool play Sunday/Monday, followed
by single elimination on Tuesday, which will allow most teams to be
home to enjoy a July 4th fireworks display.
